I am deeply passionate about the sea—its rhythm, its sounds, and the sense of tranquility that comes from simply being present with it. One of my favorite places to retreat is the coast around Sagres, where nature still feels untouched: wild landscapes, beautiful beaches, misty mornings, and an atmosphere of rare calm.

Exercise has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up as an athlete taught me the value of precision, consistency, discipline, and resilience. Today, I remain committed to a strict Pilates and strength-training routine, both as a passion and as a necessity following severe back injuries.

I am also a devoted coffee drinker—strictly between waking up and starting work. Just like tea, making and tasting coffee is an exercise in passion and detail: temperature, quantity, flavor, acidity, strength, even the choice of the cup itself - its format, depth, material and presentation. Everyone experiences it differently, and noticing those differences is what makes it special. Details matter—and recognizing them is everything.

My curiosity and natural attraction to hospitality and hotel’s atmosphere led me to pursue what I still consider my true calling. I have now spent 30 years in the hospitality industry, working across sales and marketing, food and beverage, events, and private clubs, including 15 years as a general manager. Each chapter has shaped my understanding of people, service, and the power of meaningful experiences.

At the heart of my work is the belief that true hospitality is rooted in a strong sense of place and nurtured through community, togetherness, and team spirit—creating environments where both guests and teams feel connected, valued, and inspired.
